This expansive property is the result of a design collboration between Clayton Lindley of Naked Architecture and Andrew Hagemann of Fringe Architects.
The home comprises of three storeys and capitalises on the water views and bush surroundings. The unique design starts at its entry as a human scale single storey, and when inside it gently steps and slopes up to the upper floor and down to the lower ground floor. The infinity edge pool on the lower ground level personifies luxury living as do the high quality finishes and fixtures used throughout.
The clients gave the Architects carte blanche with the brief and the concept was brought to life by Tallwood Constructions. By using the site's slope, a 7.5m building height limit, the existing building envelope and massaging the spaces into an L-shaped plan over three levels, a superb result was achieved on a challenging site. The home features striking three dimensional form and floor plans with soaring roof overhags and expansive glass to the upper floor in response to the stunning views.
Rainwater harvesting, double glazing and thermally broken frames, and the hydronic heating, used in lieu of air conditioning, contribute to energy efficient living in this amazing residence.
